January 2017’s release note announcing that the default period for Site Shield map changes and notifications had been increased from 60 days to 90 days was in error. This change was not implemented in the January 2017 Control Center release, and we are reprioritizing this work against other objectives and expect to return to addressing it later this quarter. We regret the error.

Jan 1, 2016 — New internal services

The Site Shield behavior has been upgraded to take advantage of new internal services. When editing a property configuration, Property Manager might prompt — as a harmless red, error message — that the Site Shield behavior requires an upgrade. Clicking on the upgrade button will allow you to continue editing the configuration. This upgrade message is part of maintaining and improving Akamai software and should not cause concern.
