Media Delivery Reports API is deprecated

This API is deprecated and will be decommissioned in 2025:

  • The Akamai Cloud Embed reports API (formerly Wholesale Delivery) will be decommissioned on July 31, 2025.
  • All other endpoints will be decommissioned on May 14, 2025. As an alternative, use DataStream 2.

Media Delivery Reports let you monitor and identify key trends of your Akamai delivery solutions, including Adaptive Media Delivery, Download Delivery, Object Delivery, and Akamai Cloud Embed (formerly Wholesale Delivery). These reports offer valuable insights to enhance your business by optimizing your streaming content, software downloads, and object delivery.

The Media Delivery Reports API and the Reporting API

Akamai offers a general-purpose Reporting API. It includes several templated reports for your Akamai delivery products. However, you can use the Media Delivery Reports API to be more granular and create custom reports for these same products. With this API, you review data stores that represent the delivery of your content and use their dimensions and metrics to set up custom reports.
