Postman
Add our collection and environment to your instance of Postman to interact with our API.
Add our collections
Create a fork of our collections to add them to your workspace.
- Open Postman and in the search bar at the top, type one of our workspaces, for example, Akamai APIs, and click on it.
- Tap the three dots next to the API collection you want to use and choose Create a fork.
- Label your fork, add it to your workspace, and check the Watch original collection box to get notified when we've made updates.
- Click Fork the collection and it will be added to your workspace so you can use its requests or suggest changes without affecting the original.
Repeat these steps to add multiple collections.
See our public workspaces for a full list of available Akamai's cloud computing, security, and delivery products.
Add our environment
Each API call you make requires an authentication header. You can add your credentials into each call or fork our authentication environment for API-specific variables you don't have to configure every time.
- Open Postman and in the search bar at the top, one of our workspaces, for example, Akamai APIs, and click on it.
- On the left side of the screen, click Environments.
- Tap the three dots next to our environment and choose Create a fork.
- Label your fork, add it to your workspace, and click Fork environment to add it to your workspace.
To work within the environment, choose it from the environment dropdown at the top right when you're working with our API.
