Feb 27, 2025 – New frozen rule format, new behavior and other changes
about 1 month ago by mschuste@akamai.com
- New frozen rule format available for Property Manager users: v2025-02-18.
- New Early Data (0-RTT) Advanced behavior. It expands the capabilities of Early Data (0-RTT) by adding support for URLs with query string parameters. This behavior is optional and requires an additional module added to your contract. To enable it, contact your Akamai representative.
- Edge IP Binding is now supported with HTTP/3.
- Now you can enable the Cache+ feature for Image and Video Manager. The Image and Video Manger (Images) behavior includes the list of CloudWrapper regions for storing derivative images, including a filter for which images to store to the CloudWrapper regions. Learn more about adding the Image and Video Manager (Images) behavior.
- To comply with best practices, the responses to the OPTIONS requests are no longer cacheable in Akamai. If you only need the OPTIONS support to enable the CORS preflight functionality, use the CORS Protocol Support behavior in Property Manager. It automatically handles the OPTIONS requests and returns responses directly from Akamai. If you need to support the OPTIONS requests at your origin, contact your Akamai representative to determine the solution.
