Mar 16, 2026 — Object Storage E3 endpoint now generally available Tokyo

On March 16, 2026, we have completed a successful upgrade of the E2 endpoint (jp-tyo-1.linodeobjects.com) in Tokyo, Japan to an E3 endpoint. No action is required by existing customers.
This endpoint offers S3-compatible object storage with:
- SSD-backed infrastructure for high performance and low-latency applications
- Up to 1 Tbps of throughput*
- Ability to store petabytes (PBs) of content*
- A consistent set of compliance standards globally (see the Akamai Trust Center for details)
