Jun 5, 2026 — Metrics and alerts updates

Akamai Cloud Pulse now includes support for cloning alerts and grouping metric data by dimensions when creating alerts. NodeBalancer metrics and alerts are also now available by default for all users.

New features and enhancements

Clone an alert

You can now clone an existing alert to create a new alert. Cloning copies an existing alert definition, allowing you to modify it to create an alert instead of creating a new alert from scratch.

For more information, see Clone an alert.

Group by dimensions in alerts

You can now group metric data by dimensions when creating alerts. When metric data is grouped, alert conditions are evaluated independently for each dimension value.

For more information, see Group by dimension.

Object Storage and NodeBalancers metrics and alerts enabled by default

Object Storage and NodeBalancers metrics and alerts are now enabled by default for all users. No support request or manual enablement is required.

Known issues

Group by validation errors are not displayed in the UI

When an invalid metric and Group by dimension combination is selected, Akamai Cloud Pulse doesn't display a corresponding validation error message in Cloud Manager. As a result, alert creation or updates may fail without visible feedback indicating why the request was unsuccessful.

If an alert cannot be created or updated and no error message is displayed, try a different metrics and Group by dimension combination.

A fix is planned for a future release.
