Jul 1, 2026 — New billing model for G8 Linodes, GPU Linodes, and additional IPv4

Akamai is updating the billing model for G8 Dedicated Linodes, GPU Linodes, and additional IPv4 addresses. These services are moving to hourly pricing. You are billed for actual hours used each month, with no monthly price cap. The first invoice you receive after July 1, 2026 will reflect these changes.
All other compute services are unaffected and continue to offer both hourly and monthly pricing.
Akamai strives to keep cloud pricing consistent across regions. However, costs vary by location, including networking, hardware, labor, taxes, and fees. Effective July 1, the following regions have higher rates for RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell instances:
- All European data centers, located at: Frankfurt DE, London UK, Milan IT, Paris FR, Oslo NO, Amsterdam NL, Stockholm SE, Madrid ES
- Singapore
- Jakarta.
