Jan 7, 2026 – Improved experience for property activations

This release improves the clarity and consistency of property activation messaging in the Property Manager application and guides. We're clearly communicating stages of activation, so that you can track when a new property version is live for your traffic, and what remains in progress in the rest of the CDN network.

​Akamai​ uses a phased approach to push your property’s configuration changes through the production network to ensure complete safety and reliability.

​Akamai​ prioritizes updating edge servers handling live traffic at the start of activation, so that your changes reach active end users immediately. This also lets you test the effects in real time.

If everything looks good, ​Akamai​ then progressively pushes changes to the rest of the CDN network with continuous anomaly detection.
