New features and enhancements

Authentication prompt timeout enhancement. ​Akamai MFA​ now handles authentication session timeouts more effectively. Previously, the authentication prompt displayed a Session has expired message with no further action options if a user didn't complete the MFA challenge. With this update, the authentication flow redirects users back to the Identity Provider (IDP) that initiated the session if they fail to complete the challenge in time. The IDP webpage can then display an error message or ask the user to try again. This change applies to all browser-based integrations in ​Akamai MFA​.

Android device attestation. As of February 1, Google will require a new verification service to support device attestation policies. Users will be required to run ​Akamai MFA​ for Android v1.16.1 or later if device attestation policy is enforced.
