The Realtime tab (AMD)
The Realtime tab displays various report data for Adaptive Media Delivery (AMD) at a latency of under 15 minutes. Each data point on the widget has a resolution time of five minutes.
Start by setting up a filter
Use the Filters panel to customize your report. You can set these options:
- CP Code (Required)*. A content provider (CP) code is a unique identifier we assign to you for reporting, billing, and monitoring traffic served over the Akamai network. Someone in your organization assigns a friendly name to a CP code when it's created—either via a tool in Akamai Control Center or an API, or with the help of your Akamai account representative. Click each desired CP code to include in the filter or, if you know the name or number of the desired CP code, type it in the Filter field to refine the results. You can also click All to include every CP code.
The widgets
Each individual content panel in the reporting tabs is referred to as a "widget." Several widgets make up your report in this tab. Here's an example of the "Hits" widget in the Realtime tab:
Widget | Description |
---|---|
Hits | Number of hits to the media per second at the Akamai edge, midgress, and origin servers. |
Bandwidth | The total bandwidth usage at all servers. |
Edge Responses | The number of responses received at the edge server for the media. |
Origin Responses | The number of responses received at the origin server for the media. |
Hits by Response Code | The total number of hits to the edge and origin servers are categorized by response codes received. |
Prefetch Efficiency | This applies if you've incorporated Prefetching support in your Adaptive Media Delivery configuration. At a specific point in time, it shows the percentage of prefetched objects that were actually delivered, compared to the total number of objects requested. The "Prefetch Efficiency" number on the far right of the widget is a decimal number that converts to the overall efficiency rate. |
You can modify your filters
