Oct 10, 2018 — Security label changes and introduction of Standard TLS delivery option

  • The security labels in the Edge Hostname Editor are changing to support the new Standard TLS secure delivery option. The Security labels are now:
    • Enhanced TLS - Previously Secure. Used to serve PCI compliant HTTPS traffic via an edgekey.net edge hostname.
    • Shared Certificate - Previously Non-secure. If you have the Secure Delivery - Shared Cert module, you can serve non PCI compliant HTTPS traffic using the *.akamaized.net shared certificate via an akamaized.net edge hostname.
    • Standard TLS - Previously Non-secure. Used to serve non PCI compliant traffic over HTTP or HTTPS via an edgesuite.net edge hostname. If you have the Standard Secure Delivery - Customer Cert module, you can add a Standard TLS certificate using the Certificate Provisioning System and enable HTTPS delivery (non PCI) for your hostnames.
  • The Create button is now labeled “Standard TLS or Shared Cert or HTTP Only” instead of “Non-Secure”.
