about 1 month ago by lruaware@akamai.com
This Edge DNS release includes these updates:
- Infrastructure Security Analytics General Availability improvements. You can now report on record level query volume, dangling CNAME analytics for secondary Edge DNS zones, and Shield NS53 configurations. You can also now push NXDOMAIN spike and CNAME dangler events to supported security information and event management (SIEM) solutions. These solutions include Google Chronicle, Microsoft Sentinel, Cisco Splunk, and ServiceNow IT Service Management.
Additionally, you can also define that specific users receive a weekly or daily email summary that contains DNS requests per second, NXDOMAIN responses per second, and per-zone metrics of potential threats. This update also includes improvements to zone searches and lets you more effectively download lists of zones. - Zone Protection and Takedown Limited Availability improvements. You can now do the following:
- Sort alerts and takedowns by WHOIS information, takedown status, and image changes.
- View a snapshot image of a related domain.
- Add comments for related domains.
- Initiate a takedown after a cancellation.
- Attach additional takedown evidence to your takedown request.
- Shield NS53 General Availability improvements. You can enable EDNS0 Client Subnet policies for a shield configuration to pass the request’s source IP addresses to origin, primary name servers. This update also improves the resiliency and scalability of the zone transfer agent component that transfers zone information to Shield NS53 and automatically creates policies such as allowlist names.
