​Akamai​​ ​​Zero Trust Client​​ 6.1.6 is now generally available. Go to ​Akamai​ Control Center > Enterprise Center > Client & Connectors > ​Akamai​ ​Zero Trust Client​ to deploy the upgrade.

Fixed issues

• macOS and Linux:
  • Addressed a local privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2026-34354). This issue could allow an unprivileged local user to gain root privileges on macOS and Linux systems. Detailed information regarding this issue will be published at a later date.
• Windows:
  • Improved security hardening against unauthorized file actions. Addressed a low-risk security bug that could allow an unprivileged user to trigger the creation of a diagnostic zip file in arbitrary system locations. Extensive testing confirmed that this vector cannot be used to achieve privilege escalation on Windows systems.
