Create a requirement

Follow this procedure to create a requirement and associate it with test suites to create a full test object.

Before you begin
You need to have a test suite created. To learn how, see Create a test suite.


Test suites are not shared by requirements and config versions. If a test suite is associated to a config version, you can't associate it to the requirement. To use the same test suites in both, config version and the requirement, use the cloning feature. See Clone multiple test suites.

To create a requirement and associate test suites:

  1. Go to > CDN > Test Center.
  2. In the left menu, click Functional testing and then go to Requirements.
  3. To create a requirement:
    1. Above the main list, click +.
    2. Configure the settings.
    3. Click Save.
  4. To associate test suites:
    1. Select the added requirement from the list and in its Details section, click +.
    2. In the Associate test suites with this requirement window, select the test suites you want to associate.
    3. Click Save.

Now you can run a test for a requirement.
