Add and configure config versions

If you want to run a regression test, you need to a config version with the applied config changes to Test Center.

Before you begin

• The config version you want to add must be added to Property Manager and must be active on ​Akamai​ staging or ​Akamai​ production environment. To learn how, see the Property Manager documentation.
• You need to have a test suite created. To learn how, see Create a test suite.

Test suites are not shared by requirements and config versions. If a test suite is associated to a requirement, you can't associate it to the config version. To use the same test suites in both, config version and the requirement, use the cloning feature. See Clone multiple test suites.

To add a config version and associate test suites:

1. Go to ☰ > CDN > Test Center .
2. In the left menu, click Functional testing and then go to Config versions.
3. To add a config version:
   1. Above the main list, click +.
   2. From the lists, select the config version you want to add.
   3. Click Add to list.
      If there is a previous version of the config version added to Test Center, then Test Center creates new test suites with test cases inherited from that previous config version and associates them with the new config version. If there is no previous config version added, Test Center associates the new config version with a default test suite.
4. To associate more test suites:
   1. Select the added config version from the list and in its Details section, click +.
      
   2. In the Associate test suites with this config version window, select the test suites you want to associate.
   3. Click Save.
