A new centralized dashboard, Security Notification Settings, is now available in Akamai Control Center to streamline how you manage notification delivery for your Web Security Analytics alerts. What’s new:
- Single point of control. You can now view, create, and govern all external communication integrations, including email groups and third-party messaging platforms, from a single dashboard.
- Reusable email groups. Instead of manually typing individual recipient addresses into multiple separate alert rules, you can build dedicated, reusable email groups.
- Expanded channel support. In addition to traditional email, you can now route Web Security Analytics alerts directly to your collaboration and incident response tools, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Webex, PagerDuty, and custom webhooks.
- Automated operational safeguard. To protect your active operational workflows from sudden communication gaps, the new system also features an automated safeguard that prevents you from deleting or disabling any email group or channel that is assigned to an alert.
While Security Notification Settings currently supports Web Security Analytics alerts, it is planned to expand to cover all application security notifications in the future. Your existing active channels have already been automatically migrated to the new system so that your current alerts continue to deliver notifications without disruption. Learn more
