To align with industry-leading False Positive (FPR) and False Negative (FN) targets, Akamai is updating its User Risk Level ranges. Since this update is retroactive, you will notice shifts in your security dashboards and alerts once it takes effect.
Review your response strategy configurations. We recommend the following thresholds:
- Standard protection: Set automated mitigation to begin at a user risk score > 90.
- Aggressive protection: If you require tighter security, you can lower the threshold, but we recommend staying above 70.
