# Sep 2, 2026 – Catalog updates

* The [Video Manager Powered by Cloudinary](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/video-manager-cloudinary) behavior adds two new options for manually specifying a custom path: **Advanced URL Rewrite** and **Advanced URL Rewrite Path**

* The following feature changes are now standard for all API Acceleration property configurations:
  * Default Rule
    * We add the Minimize payload rule as a child rule in the Default Rule.
    * We move the Compressible Objects rule from the Performance rule into the Minimize payload child rule.
    * In the Compressible Objects child rule, the Content type match condition is updated with the following values:\
      `application/javascript`, `application/_javascript_`, `application/json`, `application/xml`, `application/text_`, `application/vnd-ms-fontobject`, `application/vnd.microsoft.icon`, `application/x-font-opentype`, `application/x-font-truetype`, `application/x-font-ttf`, `application/xmlfont/eot`, `font/eot`, `font/opentype`, `font/otf`, `image/svg+xml`, `image/vnd.microsoft.icon`, `image/x-icon`, `text/`, `application/octet-stream`, `application/x-font-eot_`, `font/ttf`, `application/font-ttf`, `application/font-sfnt`, `application/x-tgif`, `text/html_`, `text/css_`, `application/x-javascript_`, `application/javascript_`, `text/javascript_`, `text/plain_`, `text/xml_`, `application/vnd_`, `application/json*`, `application/x-javascript`, `application/x-json`, `application/+json`, `application/+xml`, `application/text`
    * Origin Brotli Support is added to Minimize payload as a child rule, with the [Brotli Support](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/brotli-support) behavior set to “On”.
  * Augment insights
    * We add a new rule Augment insights to align the API Acceleration property configurations with the Ion property configurations.
    * [Enhanced Debug](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/enhanced-debug) moves from the Default Rule to the Augment insights rule as a child rule.
  * Accelerate delivery
    * We rename the Performance rule into the Accelerate delivery rule.
    * We add the Origin connectivity rule as a child rule with the [DNS Asynchronous Refresh](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/dns-asynchronous-refresh) behavior moved here from the Performance rule.
    * We add the Protocol optimizations rule as a child rule with the following behaviors added or moved here from the Performance rule:

  * Offload origin
    * We rename the Offload rule to Offload origin.
    * The [Validate Entity Tag (ETag)](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/val-entity-tag) behavior is set to “On”, with the Allow non-strict Strong ETags and Support Weak ETags options also set to “On”.
  * Strengthen security
    * We add the Allowed methods rule as a child rule in Strengthen security and move here the following behaviors from the Default Rule:

* The following feature changes are now standard for all Dynamic Site Accelerator property configurations:
  * Default Rule
    * The [Content Provider Code](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/content-provider-code-beh) behavior moves from the Augment insights rule to the Default Rule.
    * The [Origin IP Access Control List](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/origin-ip-access-control) behavior is added to the Default Rule and set to “Off”.
  * Augment insights
    * With the [Content Provider Code](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/content-provider-code-beh) behavior moving to the Default Rule, the Traffic reporting rule has been removed from the Augment insights rule.
    * [Enhanced Debug](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/enhanced-debug) moves from the Default Rule to the Augment insights rule as a child rule.
  * Accelerate delivery
    * In the Origin Connectivity rule, the default timeout value for [DNS Asynchronous Refresh](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/dns-asynchronous-refresh) is now “5 hours”.
    * In the Protocol optimizations rule:
      * The [Early Data (0-RTT)](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/early-data-0rtt) behavior is added and set to “On”
      * The [Early Data (0-RTT) Advanced](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/early-data-0rtt-advanced) behavior is added with the Supported HTTP Methods option set to “GET” and Query String Parameters set to “Deny”.
    * The Prefetching child rule, and subsequent [Prefetching Objects](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/prefetching) and [Prefetchable Objects](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/prefetchable-objects) behaviors are all removed from the Accelerate delivery rule.
    * Early Hints is added to the Accelerate delivery rule as a child rule, with the [Early Hints](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/early-hints) behavior set to “Off”.
  * Offload origin
    * The [Validate Entity Tag (ETag)](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/val-entity-tag) behavior is set to “On”, with the Allow non-strict Strong ETags and Support Weak ETags options also set to “On”.
    * In the Other static objects rule, “mp4” is added to the values in the File Extension match condition.
    * In the HTML Pages rule:
      * The [Cache Key Query Parameters](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/cache-key-query-param) behavior is updated with the following parameters:\
        `gclid`, `fbclid`, `utm_source`, `utm_campaign`, `utm_medium`, `utm_content`, `srsltid`, `ttclid`, `igclid`, `wbraid`, `gbraid`
      * The [Downstream Cacheability](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/downstream-cacheability) behavior is added to the Offload origin rule, with Caching Option set to “Allow caching, require validation (no-cache)” and Mark as Private set to “On”.
  * Strengthen security
    * The Obfuscate debug info rule and [Cache Tag Visibility](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/cache-tag-visibility) behavior are removed from the Strengthen security rule.
    * Redirect to HTTPS is added to Strengthen security as a child rule, with the match condition Request Protocol set to “HTTP”, and the [Redirect](https://techdocs.akamai.com/property-mgr/docs/redirect-beh) behavior with the following options and settings:
      * Redirect Type: “Default”
      * Destination Protocol: “HTTPS”
      * Destination Hostname: “Same as request”
      * Destination path: “Same as request”
      * Include Query String: “Yes”
      * Redirect Status Code: “301 Moved Permanently”
  * Minimize payload
    * In the Compressible Objects child rule, the Content type match condition is updated with the following values:\
