Oct 2, 2018 — New Property Manager security options for Standard TLS
about 6 years ago by igkoprow@akamai.com
The Security Options checkbox in Property Manager is changing to a radio button in order to support the new Standard TLS secure delivery option.
The security options are now one or more of the following, depending on what you have on your contract:
- Enhanced TLS - Same as previous Secure (Customer Certificate) option. Used to serve PCI compliant HTTPS traffic.
- Enhanced TLS or Shared Certificate - Same as previous Shared or Customer Certificate option. If you have the Enhanced Secure Delivery - Customer Cert module, you can serve PCI compliant HTTPS traffic. - If you have the Secure Delivery - Shared Cert module, then you can serve non PCI compliant HTTPS traffic using the *.akamaized.net shared certificate.
- Shared Certificate - Same as previous Shared Certificate option. If you have the Secure Delivery - Shared Cert module, then you can serve non-PCI-compliant HTTPS traffic using the *.akamaized.net shared certificate.
- Standard TLS Ready or Plain HTTP - Similar to previous Non-secure option with none of the security options checked. Used to serve non-PCI-compliant traffic over HTTP or HTTPS. If you have the Standard Secure Delivery - Customer Cert module, then you can add a Standard TLS certificate using the Certificate Provisioning System and enable HTTPS delivery (non-PCI) for your hostnames.
- Plain HTTP - Same as previous Non-secure option with none of the security options checked. Used to serve non-PCI compliant traffic over HTTP.
