% Plays Abandoned Percentage of plays that were abandoned prior to 95% completion. Use for on-demand content only.Percentage
24x7 Plays Sum of first plays for a 24x7 stream. It includes the first play as well as subsequent plays until the user quits the session.Number
Audience Size Sum of concurrent streams or plays at a particular point in time. This is not an aggregated value like 'Attempts' or 'Plays'. When used in a chart, with the exception of time chart, this metric shows the value at the end of a chosen duration.Number
Completion Percentage Percentage of plays that lasted over 95% of the stream duration.Percentage
Daily Viewers (Title/Event Name) Sum of unique viewers per title or event name in a day. Viewers are individuals who play video content identified using a globally unique identifier, set by the client-side media analytics plug-in. Note : This metric is different from the 'Viewers (Daily)' metric, and may show wrong values if not plotted against title or event name.Number
Hourly Viewers Sum of unique viewers for a given hour. Viewers are individuals who play video content and are identified using a globally unique identifier, set by the client-side media analytics plug-in.Number
Monthly Viewers Sum of unique viewers for a given month. Viewers are individuals who play video content and are identified using a globally unique identifier, set by the client-side media analytics plug-in.Number
New Viewers Sum of viewers that have not viewed any titles in the 13-month duration after report pack creation, or preceding the most current play.Number
Peeks Sum of plays that last less than 5 seconds.Number
Play Duration Sum of time of actual playback across all plays. This excludes ad play duration, forwards, rewinds, repeat playback, and pauses.Hours
Play Duration per Play Play duration divided by the sum of plays.Minutes
Play Duration per Viewer Play duration divided by the sum of viewers over a time period.Minutes

Play Percentage Average of play percentages for all the plays derived by dividing play duration by content length. Valid for on-demand content only.Percentage
Plays Started Attempts to play content resulting in successful playback.Number

Plays Ended Plays ended include both completed and abandoned plays. Plot this metric with dimensions such as 'Rebuffer time per Minute', 'Rebuffers per Minute', etc. Rebuffering metrics and dimensions are calculated at the end of plays and show incorrect charts if plotted with metrics like 'Plays'.Number
Plays Ended (Play Position Level) Sum of plays ended for a given stream position. This metric can only be plotted with the 'Stream Position' dimension to view abandonments at various positions.Number

Visits A visit is defined and bound by a viewer navigating to your site until he or she leaves it. For media, the default concept is loading or turning on a media player until navigation away from it. The definition of a visit varies based on device and can be altered at the time of implementation to suit the specifics of your business.Number
Visits Ended Sum of visits that ended. This might not always be equal to 'Visits' due to edge cases like complete loss of network connectivity during a visit that could prevent Media Analytics from receiving visit end beacons.Number
Visits per Viewer Sum of visits across viewers divided by the number of viewers.Number
Visits per Viewer (Daily) Sum of visits across viewers divided by the number of daily viewers.Number

Ad Density(Play Level) Ad density experienced during playback of a single title. Ad density equals the amount of time spent watching ads divided by amount of time watching content. This dimension is automatically set to one of the following ranges: 0%; 0-1%; 1-5%; 5-10%; 10+. Use this field to determine how ad density influences abandonment rates and utilize the insights to optimize your ad policy.
