Apr 9, 2026 — Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent 7.3.2-v53.2.1 general availability

Guardicore Platform Agent​ 7.3.2-v53.2.1 is now generally available. Go to ​Akamai​ Control Center > Enterprise Center > Client & Connectors > ​Manage and Download Clients to deploy version 7.3.2.

Fixed issues

  • macOS and Linux:
    • Addressed a local privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2026-34354). This issue could allow an unprivileged local user to gain root privileges on macOS and Linux systems. Detailed information regarding this issue will be published at a later date.
  • Windows:
    • Improved security hardening against unauthorized file actions. Addressed a low-risk security bug that could allow an unprivileged user to trigger the creation of a diagnostic zip file in arbitrary system locations. Extensive testing confirmed that this vector cannot be used to achieve privilege escalation on Windows systems.
  • Improved log collection via Centra to include the entire Guardicore Platform Agent log, replacing the previous behavior of capturing only GC agent logs.
  • Resolved an issue where duplicate device IDs for the same hostname could be reported in the device inventory in Enterprise Center.

Known issues

  • The agent window crashes when a user saves Full Diagnostic logs or a packet capture report to a folder containing Unicode characters. After closing, the user interface immediately restarts and successfully saves the files to the requested folder.
  • The agent fails to save Full Diagnostic logs or packet capture reports when a user accesses a Windows machine running Guardicore Platform Agent 7.3.2 through an RDP session. These workarounds are available:
    • For the Full Diagnostics log:
      • Instead of saving the logs locally, send them directly to the administrator (Send to Admin).
      • Generate logs in Enterprise Center or Centra.
      • Browse the local system manually to locate the log files at C:\ProgramData\GuardicorePlatformAgent\reports (requires administrator privileges).
    • For Packet Captures:
      • Browse the local system manually to locate the files at C:\ProgramData\GuardicorePlatformAgent\captures (requires administrator privileges).
