Jun 23, 2026 — Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent 7.2.3-v52.14 general availability

Guardicore Platform Agent​ 7.2.3-v52.14 is now generally available. In Akamai Control Center, go to Enterprise Center > Client & Connectors > ​Manage and Download Clients to deploy version 7.2.3.

Fixed issues

These issues were resolved for the agent.

Windows

The following issues were resolved for the agent on Windows:

  • Full diagnostic log failed to download on Windows when it was connected to a remote desktop protocol (RDP) session.
  • The GUI for the agent crashed when a user who has unicode characters in their username attempted to download the full diagnostic log.
  • The installer for the agent timed out after 15 seconds. The timeout has now been increased to 2 minutes.
  • Improved security hardening against unauthorized file actions. Addressed a low-risk security bug that could allow an unprivileged user to trigger the creation of a diagnostic zip file in arbitrary system locations. Extensive testing confirmed that this vector cannot be used to achieve privilege escalation on Windows systems.

macOS

The following issues were resolved for the agent on macOS:

  • Addressed a local privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2026-46449) on macOS.
  • Addressed a local privilege escalation vulnerability (CVE-2026-34354 ) where an unprivileged local user was able to gain root privileges on macOS and Linux systems.
