Guardicore Platform Agent​ 7.1.0 is now in limited availability. Eligible customers can go to ​Akamai​ Control Center > Enterprise Center > Client & Connectors > ​Akamai​ Zero Trust Client to deploy the upgrade. If version 7.1.0 isn’t available to you and you’d like to upgrade, contact your ​Akamai​ account representative.

New features and improvements

• Segmentation updates. Guardicore Platform Agent now supports the following features and enhancements:

  • The Segmentation agent supports Guardicore Segmentation Security Platform v51.9.
  • Admin lock is now supported on Windows.
  • You can now activate Segmentation without an IDP. This lets you use automatic agent upgrades on Segmentation-only workstations.

• DNS Firewall (formerly Threat Protection) updates. Guardicore Platform Agent now supports the following features and enhancements:

  • Threat Protection is now renamed as DNS Firewall in the agent.
  • If the agent is unable to reach Secure Internet Access (SIA), DNS Firewall enters an offline mode and applies the last known SIA policy settings to traffic.
  • The allow uninstall with code feature is now available on macOS. If enabled, this feature requires that users enter a code to uninstall the agent. You must securely provide this code to users. If you don’t enable this setting, users can uninstall the agent without entering a code.
  • Improved handling of SIA Proxy certificates during certificate rotation.

• Access updates. Guardicore Platform Agent now supports the following features and enhancements:

  • Safari 18 is now supported.

• General agent changes. In addition to the above changes, note the following:

  • Ubuntu Linux is now supported. You can install and run the agent in Ubuntu GNOME desktop environments.
  • Windows on ARM is now supported.

    Ubuntu and Windows on ARM require separate agent installers which aren’t available for download from Enterprise Center at this time. If you’d like to install the agent on Ubuntu or Windows on ARM, contact ​Akamai​ support.

  • Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese display languages are now supported.

Limitations

• Guardicore Segmentation isn’t supported on Windows ARM-based devices.
• DNS Firewall (formerly Threat Protection) and Guardicore Segmentation aren’t supported on Ubuntu.
• Agent installers for Ubuntu and Windows on ARM aren’t available in Enterprise Center at this time. Contact ​Akamai​ support to get access to those installers.

Fixed issues

• Resolved issues with Access enrollment and device posture checks when using Safari 18.
