Feb 12, 2025 — Security Connector 4.0 now available

Security Connector 4.0 is now available for download and upgrade. This release contains new features and enhancements that improve Security Connector operation and user experience. With this update, you can:

  • Configure conditional forwarding. This feature lets you define domain resolution to different resolvers based on domains and source IP addresses you configure in SIA. Requests for these domains and source IP addresses are not forwarded to SIA. This feature is supported on DNS Forwarder only. For more information, see Configure conditional forwarding.
  • Set Security Connector as one connector type. Version 4.0 can be configured as one connector type only.
If you are upgrading a security connector that functions as two connector types (for example, Security Connector functions as a sinkhole and DNS Forwarder), the upgrade will require that you select one connector type for upgrade.
  • Use additional diagnostic tools in Security Connector console. In addition to the ping utility, you can now run dig, kdig, and cURL to troubleshoot Security Connector.

The VM image for Security Connector now requires 4 GB of RAM. If you plan to upgrade to version 4.0, make sure the VM has at least 4 GB of RAM.
