Akamai Zero Trust Client is now Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent. The new agent is a Zero Trust security solution that lets your organization secure application access, strengthen network defenses, and establish robust segmentation.
The agent delivers Threat Protection with the same capabilities as Zero Trust Client. These additional improvements are part of this limited release:
- Code to disable the Threat Protection service. When you enable Require code for disable action on the Configuration tab of the Manage and Download Clients page (Client & Connectors > Manage and Download Clients), the Threat Protection configuration area now shows a specific code for this action.
- Code to uninstall the agent on Windows. When you enable Allow uninstall on Windows with Code on the Configuration tab of the Manage and Download Clients page (Client & Connectors > Manage and Download Clients), the Threat Protection configuration area now shows a specific code for this action.
- Support HTTPS Block Error Pages for DNS Only Policies. The agent supports the Enable HTTPS block pages for DNS only policies setting for traffic that occurs on and off the network. Currently, Zero Trust Client does not show HTTPS block error page for blocked web traffic that occurs outside an organization’s network. This issue is now resolved with this agent release.
