# Aug 26 , 2026 — Monitoring and compression updates

* **Log uncaught JavaScript exceptions** - You can use the `log-uncaught-exception` setting in  the `bundle.json` file to log uncaught exceptions to a DataStream 2 endpoint.
* **Sub-request report** - The new [Sub-request report](https://techdocs.akamai.com/edgeworkers/docs/sub-request-report) lists Sub-request executions, wall times, and response body sizes grouped by hostname. Only the selected EdgeWorker IDs and hostnames appear in the reports. You can also access this report in the EdgeWorkers API.
* **Compression updates** - The [streams](https://techdocs.akamai.com/edgeworkers/docs/streams) built-in module now supports implementations of `CompressionStream` and `DecompressionStream` as described in the [WhatWG Compression specification](https://compression.spec.whatwg.org/).  There are also updates to the Content-Encoding header behavior and automatic decompression.The [http-request](https://techdocs.akamai.com/edgeworkers/docs/http-request#httprequest) built-in module now supports the `preserveEncoding` parameter that when set to `true`, prevents the response value from being decompressed.
