Track and report on service availability

Edge DNS Availability Report

The Availability Report tracks uptime for the Edge DNS authoritative DNS service. The report includes the following widgets:

  • Availability by Time. Graph that displays the availability of the authoritative name servers as a percentage of time that the servers answered queries.
  • Service Summary. Table that includes the average, maximum, and minimum availability of the authoritative name servers for the selected time frame.

The graph and table widgets display data for the same time period to facilitate comparisons.

Create an Availability Report

  1. On ‚ÄčAkamai Control Center‚Äč, go to ‚ėį > COMMON SERVICES > Traffic reports.
    The Reporting page opens.

  2. From the Report menu on the right side of the top menu bar, select Edge DNS - Availability.
    The Reporting page is updated to include the report name near the upper left corner of the page.

  3. In the Select filters pane, select the filters to apply to the report.

    1. Click the calendar icon and select the start and end dates, start and end times, and time zone.
      Alternatively, select a predefined time period from the Pre-Defined field values.

    2. Expand the Contracts section.

    3. From the Contracts menu, select the contract to report on.

  4. Click Apply.
    The page is updated to include the Edge DNS Availability Report widgets. The widget data is updated every five minutes.

  5. To view shorter time periods, in the Availability by Time widget, click and drag to select the time period of interest.
