May 18, 2021 — New stream status names
We are introducing consistent and clear stream status names in the application and the DataStream 2 API. New status names include:
-
Activating. When a stream is activating, your stream version is being pushed to the production network and should go live in about 90 minutes after saving the configuration. Previously Publishing.
-
Deactivating. Your stream is being pulled from the production network and it will stop streaming log data shortly. Previously Disabling.
-
Active. Your stream version is active on the production network. Active streams are represented as a green bubble on the streams list, and you can deactivate an active stream anytime from the menu.
-
Deactivated. Your stream version is saved, but not active on the production network. Deactivated streams are represented as a gray bubble on the streams list, and you can activate a deactivated stream anytime from the menu.
Changes in the application interface include:
-
When creating new or editing inactive streams, you can check the Activate stream upon saving box to push the version to the production network after saving the configuration.
-
The Publish button has been replaced with the Save stream button that allows you to save the stream version to activate later if you don’t check the the Activate stream upon saving box.
See View and manage versions in the DataStream 2 User Guide for details.
