Certificate Signing Request for third-party certificates

When you use a third-party certificate, Certificate Provisioning System (CPS) only generates the Certificate Signing Request (CSR). You must submit the CSR to your Certificate Authority (CA) yourself and receive the signed certificate and trust chain back from the CA, usually through email.

How to

To set up and deploy your certificate:

  1. Download or copy the CSRs for third-party certificates, or copy paste these to the clipboard.

  2. Send the CSR to a CA for signing, and then wait for the CA to issue the certificate and send it to you.

  3. Upload the trust chain from your CA and the signed certificate to CPS.

CPS then deploys the certificate to the network using the information you specified when you created the certificate.
