# Create an Audience Segmentation policy

Create an Audience Segmentation policy. This policy will contain the rules to apply when an incoming request matches on criteria you set.

**How to**

1. From the Control Center menu, click **Content delivery > Edge applications > Cloudlets**.

2. On the Manage Cloudlet Policies screen, click **Create New Policy**.

3. On the Create Policy screen, complete the following fields:

[block:parameters]
{
  "data": {
    "h-0": "Field",
    "h-1": "Entry",
    "0-0": "Cloudlet Type",
    "0-1": "__Required__. Select **Audience Segmentation**.",
    "1-0": "Policy Name",
    "1-1": "__Required__. Enter a unique name for the policy. Policy names can include alphanumeric characters and underscores.",
    "2-0": "Notes",
    "2-1": "__Optional__. Enter a meaningful description for this policy.",
    "3-0": "Group Association",
    "3-1": "__Required__. Choose an associated group from the drop-down list.",
    "4-0": "Use Shared policy",
    "4-1": "__Optional__. Determine the activation method for the created policy. \n\nIf you keep the toggle to the __On__ position, you enable the preferred usage of Shared Policy (see [Cloudlets Terminology](https://techdocs.akamai.com/cloudlets/docs/cloudlets-terminology) to learn more about Shared Policies). If the toggle is set to the __Off__ position, a non-shared policy (also referred to as a legacy policy) is created.\n\nTo reuse a non-shared policy for another property, you are required to activate it each time you link to it. A Shared Policy is activated only once, and can then be linked to an unlimited number of properties. You don't need to activate a Shared Policy each time you wish to use it with another property, saving time and effort."
  },
  "cols": 2,
  "rows": 5
}
[/block]

4. Click **Create Policy**.

   Your policy is created and you will be redirected to the details of its first version.
