This release introduces Protector v1.5.0, an updated software engine for on-premises App & API Protector Hybrid deployments. This version brings advanced security controls and streamlined infrastructure automation directly to your deployment:
- IP/Geo Firewall. You can now enable or disable IP/Geo Firewall controls for a specified configuration and security policy. When enabled, your local Protector instances can allow or block clients based on their IP address, geographic location, or Autonomous System Number (ASN).
- Client Lists support. You can now use Client Lists to create reusable collections of client or HTTP request characteristics, such as IP addresses, geographic locations, or ASNs, and use them to control access to your applications. Client Lists let you group these attributes into a single list and reference the list in security rules to allow or block requests. They are also account-level resources, which means you can reuse them across multiple Security Configurations within your account and across different security products. This helps you maintain consistent access control policies without having to manage the same data in multiple places.
