Rate limiting for application layer is now available in App & API Protector Hybrid. This new capability helps protect your applications from excessive request rates and potential denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
Rate Limiting Policies let you monitor and control the rate of incoming HTTP requests. You can configure these policies to detect and respond when clients exceed defined thresholds, for example, when they send too many requests within a specific time window. With the new feature, you gain more granular control over application-level traffic, ensuring reliability and consistent performance, even under high-load or attack conditions.
Rate limiting requires Protector v1.2.0 or later.
