# Jun 26, 2026 — LKE now supports Kubernetes v1.36

Kubernetes v1.36 is now available on LKE. You can review the official Kubernetes [blog post](https://kubernetes.io/blog/2026/04/22/kubernetes-v1-36-release/) and [changelog](https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/blob/master/CHANGELOG/CHANGELOG-1.36.md) for more details.

> As a reminder, Kubernetes v1.34 on LKE will be deprecated soon. If you still have LKE clusters using v1.34, we recommend manually upgrading your clusters to a newer version using the [Upgrade a cluster to a newer Kubernetes version](https://techdocs.akamai.com/cloud-computing/docs/upgrade-a-cluster-to-a-newer-kubernetes-version) guide. If your clusters are still using v1.34 by the time that version reaches end-of-life, you will receive communication detailing a scheduled automatic upgrade.
