Before you begin

Before you add an ICP number, you must set up an ICP holding entity and register a license with the Chinese government. Registering your license involves proving to the government that your intentions are pure, that your site is worthy of hosting, and that you can operate within the boundaries of Chinese law. The license contains your ICP number. For more information on setting up an ICP holding entity, see Add or edit an ICP holding entity.

Next, add or edit the license information in China CDN Manager.

How to

1. Select the ICP numbers tab at the top of the screen.

2. Click the + sign next to the ICP Numbers section to add an ICP number, or click Edit or Provide Required Details to edit it.

   The Add ICP number screen appears. You must enter all the information in the Required for provisioning on ​Akamai​ China CDN section in order to provision a hostname.

3. Enter the name of your ICP number in the ICP number field.

   If you select an ICP number and a message appears saying that you have limited access to this number, you do not have view and edit access to the number. You can use the number in property hostnames, but you cannot modify the number. If you need to modify the number, contact your account administrator.

4. Select the ICP holding entity for this license in the ICP holding entity field.

   If you did not already set up an ICP holding entity, click Add a new ICP holding entity and go to Add or edit an ICP holding entity to learn how to add one.

5. Optionally, add comments that give any additional information about the holding entity.

   Additional fields

   Additional fields may appear based on information that ​Akamai​ must collect for new government regulations.
   After being created, some ID-type fields will be viewed in a masked format displaying only their last four characters, while the remaining part will be disguised by asterisks.

6. Click Save.

Next steps

Next, add your property hostname to China CDN Manager, see Add or edit a property hostname. You can provision a hostname after you enter all of the information in the Required for provisioning sections for your ICP holing entity, ICP number, and property hostname. At that time you can go to Start provisioning to start the provisioning process.

To delete an ICP number, choose Delete from the More () menu.
