# Aug 18, 2026 — App Platform v6.2.0

This release includes minor UI and security improvements. In addition, you can choose the preferred storage class for platform databases when installing App Platform manually through Helm.

# Changed

* You can set a preferred storage class (`storageClassName`) for platform databases with a fallback value of `cluster.defaultStorageClass`. As an example, this allows you to enable volume encryption and then enforce that across all your platform apps.
* Minor UI improvements to the App Platform Console UI.
* Security improvements.
* Updated core applications. See the [Core application changes](#core-application-changes) table below for details.
